Emergency Evacuation
Personal Health provides for emergency medical evacuation and other assistance services 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
Hospital Admission Acceptance
If you need to be hospitalized overseas, we will facilitate your admission by providing the hospital with verification of your expatriate health insurance plan and guarantee of payment through our 24-hour access number.
Direct Billing of Claims
Personal Health can settle your hospital bills directly both inside the United States and worldwide. And by utilizing our PPO network (UnitedHealthcare) inside the U.S. you have the added benefit of having all claims filing done for you. Maternity Benefits (only available on yourFamily plan
After an initial 12-month waiting period, you have generous maternity benefits. For a normal pregnancy maximum benefits are up to $10,000 per pregnancy and complicated pregnancies at $12,000 per pregnancy.
Wellness/Preventive Care Benefits
Generous Wellness Benefits for you and your family (children wellness benefits only available under the yourFamily plan). These benefits are before deductible and cover extensive routine medical exams vaccinations and immunizations.
Vision Care
Almost unheard of in an individual plan but true. Every two years you have a $300 benefit for routine eye exams, contacts,and corrective lenses.
Cover for Pre-Existing Conditions
If accepted, your pre-existing conditions are covered after you have been consecutively enrolled for 12 months. Pre-existing conditions are covered up to an annual maximum of $5,000 and a lifetime maximum of $50,000.
Please note that there are some pre-existing conditions that are too long-term or too serious for us to accept. Should this be the case, you will be advised of special terms or your options regarding such conditions.

Worldwide Cover
As an expratiate living in a foreign county you naturally want the freedom to choose within your area of cover where you want to receive such treatment. And you have the freedom to choose your medical provider.
You have a choice of two areas of cover:
- Cover Region I - Worldwide including the United States
- Cover Region II - Worldwide NOT including medical treatment received in the United States and its territories

Comprehensive Medical Cover
The plan pays for medically necessary treatment and services, both as an in-patient and out-patient. It covers you for hospitalization, surgery, as well as office visits, prescription drugs and standard out-patient services such as consultations and testing. Unlike most other international health plans, should you develop a chronic condition this would also be covered. Protection for your newborn is also included by covering congenital conditions (under the yourFamily plan only and only for a covered pregnancy); something you won't find with most other policies.
Hospitalization
Inside the U.S. the plan pays a 90% benefit until you have met the $1,000 out of pocket limit and thereafter at 100%. Outside the U.S. the plan has a 100% benefit.
Covered expenses include:
- physician fees
- nursing care provided by the hospital
- use of operating and recovery rooms and equipment
- prescribed drugs and medicine for use in the hospital
- x-ray examinations, electrocardiograms, fluoroscopy
- blood, plasma and oxygen
- diagnostic and laboratory tests
- intensive care or coronary care
- private room and board
- hospital outpatient services, if necessitated by injury
- medical transportation
- charges made for treatment of biologically based mental illness.
In-patient & Out-patient Services
In-patient services includes any medically necessary treatment you receive as a patient in a medical facility for which you stay overnight. Out-patient services include medically necessary medical treatment you receive where you do not stay overnight. In-patient services are listed above under Hospitalization. Out-patient services are listed below and include:
- Physician visits, office visits and services
- Diagnostic x-ray and laboratory testing
- X-rays, radium and radioactive treatments
- Chemotherapy
- Prosthetic appliances, except hearing aids
- Examinations and treatments
- Minor surgery
- Minor injuries, cuts, burns and casts
- Pre-admission testing
- Anesthetics, injections and administration
- Presciption Drugs
High benefits
Personal Health pays 90% for most all treatment and medical services. For some services such as hospitalization and out-patient surgery outside the U.S. the plan has a 100% benefit.

Preventive Care/Wellness Benefits
Integra Global wants to see you stay healthy. Hence, you will find generous Wellness Benefits included in the policy. And what's best these benefits are available before deductible.
Wellness Benefits include the following:
Child Immunizations & Routine Medical Exams : 100%
(only available under the the yourFamily plan) not subject to deductble for children from birth to age 18 for immunization against diptheria, hepatitis B, measles, mumps,
pertussis,polio, rubella, tetanus, varicella, haemophilus influenza B, and hepatitis A.
Child Preventive Care Services: 100%
(only available under the the yourFamily plan) not subject to deductible. Services include: health history, physical examinations, development assessments, anticipatory guidance,
appropriate immunizations and laboratory tests.
Child Preventive Care is subject to the following limitations:
- Child - Birth to age 12 months - $350 Calendar Year Maximum
- Child - 13 months through age 17 - $200 Calendar Year Maximum
- Child - Age 18 to 23 (only if full-time student) - $200 Calendar Year Maximum
- Only available under the the yourFamily plan
Adult Routine Physical Exams: 90%
covered and not subject to the deductible for charges made for or in connection with the overall health and well being for Insured
and Spouse or Domestic Partner age 18 years and over. $500 Calendar Year Maximum.
Papanicolaou Screening Test: Treated like any other illness but not subject to deductible. Up to one test per calendar year for all
eligible females.
Prostate Cancer Screening: Treated like any other illness but not subject to deductible. One test per calendar year for males age 50 or over.
Mamograms: Treated like any other illness not subject to deductible per the following schedule:
- Ages 35-39: one baseline exam
- Ages 40-49: one exam every two years for asymptomatic women, but no sooner than two years after a woman's baseline.
- Age 50 & over: one exam annually
- Any age: Whenever prescribed by a physician.
Vision Care
Personal Health takes care of your vision care needs as well. A $300 benefit every two years is available for routine eye exams, corrective lenses and contacts.
Pregnancy
(only available under the the yourFamily plan) Maternity benefits are some of the most generous in the industry. After an initial 12 month waiting period maternity benefits are set at a maximum of $10,000 for a normal pregnancy and $12,000 for a complicated pregnancy. Maternity benefits include covered pre-natal services.
Emergency Medical Evacuation
The Personal Health plan utilizes SOS International to offer you and your dependents access to emergency medical evacuation
and other assistance services 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

US continuation
For US citizens returning to the US the Personal Health plan offers continuation up to 12 months. Rates are 185% of the published rates at the time of returning to US. Please note that you must be insured under Plan 1 to take advantage of US bridge cover and you must take up bridge cover prior to your return to the U.S.
Choice of Deductibles
Plans I and II offer you a choice of 4 deductibles each:
$200, $500, $1,000 and $5,000.
You can decide what deductible option fits your needs best. The higher the deductible the lower your premium. All plans offer you the
same great benefits. And Wellness Benefits are before deductible so you can stay on top of your good health.
The deductible is an annual calendar year deductible. After the calendar year deductible has been met your medical expenses
are paid/reimbursed at the rate indicated in the Schedule of Benefits.
Optional Dental & AD&D Cover

Flexible Premium Payment
Personal Health offers quarterly, semi-annually and annual payments for all our individual international health insurance plans. You can pay your premium via Credit Card (Mastercharge and Visa), bank transfer, standing order, or check. The policy is denominated in the following currencies: US Dollars, Euro, GB Pounds Sterling.
